Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care across MedSurg Tele and PCU units
Manage titratable drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret dysrhythmia strips with confidence
Deliver excellent post-procedural care for cardiac cath and CABG patients
Collaborate with nurse aids and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Float between East and West campuses to support dynamic staffing needs
Educate and support geriatric and orthopedic patients through their recovery journey

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience
Comfortable managing multiple cardiac and critical drips
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Dysrhythmia interpretation and cardiac monitoring
Titration of Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
Post-MI and post-cardiac cath patient care
BiPAP, CPAP, and heated high-flow oxygen management
Geriatric and orthopedic nursing expertise
Flexibility to float between multiple units and campuses
