Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing to adult patients in a 33-bed ICU
Assess, monitor, and manage patients with trauma, cardiac, stroke, and respiratory conditions
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications safely and effectively
Interpret telemetry strips and document findings with precision
Collaborate with nurses aides and healthcare support techs to deliver outstanding patient care
Float to PCU or MedSurg units when needed while maintaining excellent care standards

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Strong critical care experience with ventilator management and drip titration skills
Ability to pass a skills-based open-book exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Valid driver's license for radius verification at time of submittal

Knowledge & Skills

ICU Nursing and advanced patient assessment
Telemetry monitoring and cardiac drip management
Ventilator, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen support
Critical thinking and rapid response in high-acuity situations
