Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Titrate and manage critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems while responding to rapid response and code situations
Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based patient care
Float to inpatient units as needed (excluding Maternity/NICU) to support hospital-wide patient care excellence
Utilize advanced equipment such as vents, CRRT, Impella, balloon pumps, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocols

Qualifications

Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license at time of submittal
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
Willingness to adhere to artificial nail policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
Experience with neuro, cardiac, and multi-system organ failure patients
Comfort with real-time training on advanced monitoring and life-support equipment
Ability to work collaboratively in a teaching hospital environment with residents and fellows
Positive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to asking questions and continuous learning
