Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties including MICU, SICU, TICU, and CVICU
Monitor and titrate life-saving medications including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Deliver compassionate one-on-one care for high-acuity patients requiring CRRT, IABP, and Impella support
Float throughout the Denver metro zone to support facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed
Collaborate with respiratory therapists and interpret cardiac telemetry to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while maintaining the highest standards of care

Qualifications

Active Colorado or compact nursing license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
Comfortable titrating critical care drips and managing ventilated patients
Prior travel experience preferred; first-time travelers need 3+ years ICU experience plus Epic proficiency

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making in high-acuity environments
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system
Ability to float between ICU, PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Telemetry units
Excellent communication and adaptability when working across multiple facilities
