Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Self scheduling, Days or Nights, 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population
Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering timely interventions for trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac cases
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and support staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Float to other qualified units as needed to support the broader care team
Maintain accurate documentation and monitor cardiac rhythms in a fast-paced ER environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
Current ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS or ENTC certifications
Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Paragon EMR
Comfortable working in a 24-bed ER with 3 trauma bays
Able to perform triage when needed
Skilled in managing mixed ER holds and floating to qualified units
