Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips with precision and care
Provide compassionate nursing care to patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement recovery journeys
Support patients experiencing CVA and TIA with attentive, knowledgeable care
Float to East Campus and PCU when needed to ensure seamless coverage
Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Some background with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation time

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
Understanding of set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Strong assessment and communication skills
Flexibility to float between units and campuses
