Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry strips each shift
Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory conditions, GI issues, diabetes, and post-cath needs
Support patients recovering from total joint replacements and CVA/TIA events
Administer set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure seamless unit operations
Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to support broader patient care needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% score within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips and interpreting dysrhythmias
Some background with CVA/TIA and total joint replacement patients preferred
Cerner experience recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Medical/Surgical nursing fundamentals
Dysrhythmia recognition and documentation
Patient education for CHF, diabetes, and post-surgical recovery
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
