Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients on a specialized Visual Monitor Unit
Monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to rhythm changes
Collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health techs to support patients with secondary mental health needs
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide care
Ensure patient safety through video monitoring and appropriate use of chemical restraints when necessary

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with 600+ beds
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Psychiatric experience is a plus but not required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to start (two attempts allowed)
Ability to complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac telemetry interpretation
Comfort working with patients who have behavioral health components
Excellent sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Ability to maintain composure in high-acuity medical-surgical environments
Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to float as needed
