Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to outpatient cardiology patients following established standards
• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac rhythms to support timely clinical decisions
• Administer cardiac medications and document patient responses accurately
• Coordinate patient care and serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers
• Assist providers and clinical teams with procedures and clinic workflows
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, medications, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to quality and safety protocols
• Participate in team-based initiatives to improve clinic operations and patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Montana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• Basic coronary class required
• At least 2 years of cardiac nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate patient care effectively

Education

• Graduate of nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• EKG interpretation and recognition of cardiac arrhythmias
• Familiarity with common cardiac medications and their effects
• Medical terminology and basic nursing principles and procedures
• Patient care coordination and clinical triage skills
• Key boarding skills and basic office/administrative skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
