Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the MST unit
• Assess and monitor patients frequently, documenting changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans
• Respond promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and report handoffs clearly

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (California license highly preferred)
• Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse, ideally with MST or similar specialty
• Current BLS required; ACLS and specialty certifications encouraged
• Comfort with night/overnight nursing and acuity that can change quickly
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills
• Proof of immunizations and required facility onboarding documentation

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and clinical training

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, IV therapy, medication administration
• Familiarity with EMR documentation and electronic charting systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, acute-care environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and staff collaboration
• Basic understanding of MST unit protocols and emergency response
