Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients thoroughly and develop a timely, compassionate plan of care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Monitor telemetry and patient status, escalating concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic health record
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring teammates and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS and PALS a plus
• Preferred: 1+ year of acute care experience, medical-surgical or telemetry experience valued
• Strong clinical assessment, IV/medication administration, and telemetry monitoring skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
• Comfortable using electronic health records and following unit protocols

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and prioritization in busy acute-care settings
• Medication administration and safe IV management
• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Wound care, post-op monitoring, and basic critical care principles
• Clear clinical documentation and handoff communication
• Patient/family education and discharge planning
