Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during night shift assignments
• Assess and monitor patients, recognizing changes in condition and acting promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
• Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy to support recovery
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by mentoring colleagues and sharing best practices

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable with night shift responsibilities and acute care environments
• Able to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable attendance, and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients during busy shifts
• Calm decision-making during urgent or emergent situations
