Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on the MST unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely clinical notes
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Advocate for patients’ needs while maintaining a calm, professional bedside manner

Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous Med-Surg and/or telemetry experience preferred
• Comfort with 12-hour night shifts and caring for diverse adult patient populations
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility-required screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and medication administration
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms
• Skilled at electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy
