Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (exact start/end times and assigned days to be confirmed with the facility), RN - MED/SURG

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the medical-surgical unit
Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and document changes clearly and promptly
Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to policy
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the care team to create and follow effective care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Respond to clinical changes, escalate concerns, and participate in timely handoffs
Maintain a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — New Hampshire state license or applicable multistate/compact license preferred
BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
Previous medical-surgical nursing experience preferred (ability to work 12.5-hour shifts)
Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required/preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg assessment and monitoring skills
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation
Patient and family education techniques
Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Team communication and handoff best practices
