Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate Med/Surg nursing care for adult patients using evidence-based practice
• Perform thorough patient assessments, monitor condition changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments accurately while adhering to policy
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to create and execute care plans
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the medical record to ensure continuity
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, discharge planning, and self-care

Qualifications

• Required: Active RN license (New Hampshire) or a Nurse Licensure Compact (if applicable)
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred: Prior Med/Surg nursing experience
• Preferred: Advanced certifications (ACLS, specialty certifications) as applicable
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with interdisciplinary staff
• Accurate, timely documentation and charting practices
• Patient education and discharge planning skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
