Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for adults in the ICU
• Monitor and interpret physiologic data and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage complex IV therapies safely
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Perform skilled procedures and use critical care equipment such as ventilators and arterial lines
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress thoroughly in the medical record

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Alabama or compact RN license accepted if applicable)
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Previous ICU experience or strong critical care orientation and assessment skills
• Ability to work scheduled 12-hour day shifts and follow assignment-specific requirements
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and hemodynamic monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
• Medication administration and drip titration experience
• Familiarity with ICU equipment and telemetry monitoring
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and documentation skills
