Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and assess patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns
• Operate and manage advanced life support and monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document promptly
• Provide clear communication with patients and families during high-stress situations
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to obtain Louisiana license as required)
• Experience or strong interest in ICU/critical care nursing (ICU indicated in posting)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to rotating schedules
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Immunizations and background checks per facility policy (as required by employer)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and intervention
• Ventilator management and advanced cardiac monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Medication administration and titration in ICU settings
• Team-based collaboration and effective communication under pressure
• Prioritization and time management during high-acuity shifts
