Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert bedside care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit for complex post-op and critically ill cardiac patients
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support with confidence and precision
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring including Swan Ganz catheter interpretation and trending
• Care for patients with arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes and other invasive devices
• Deliver continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and support patients on mechanical circulatory devices such as Impella when indicated
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care nursing experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or similar) — listed as a must-have
• Proven experience with ventilator management, arterial/central line and chest tube care
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and Swan Ganz catheter use
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN preferred, but strong ICU experience is essential

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN preferred
• CCRN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in ventilator management and advanced respiratory care
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz interpretation and trending
• Comfortable with arterial lines, central lines, chest tube care and post-op CABG recovery
• Experience with CRRT and familiarity with Impella or other mechanical circulatory support
• Ability to work in a 2:1 patient ratio environment and collaborate effectively with the team
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical record system
