Certified Nursing Assistant – UHC Staffing

Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem schedule (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (day shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Provide compassionate bedside care while maintaining patient dignity
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
Maintain clear, timely documentation in patient records
Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to deliver great care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts; reliable and punctual
Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

Completion of an approved CNA training program
High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Infection prevention and standard precautions
Clear, professional communication with patients and staff
Time management and prioritization in a busy care setting
