Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of patient interactions and care provided
• Support a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver great care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required in New Mexico
• Successful completion of an accredited CNA program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with patient lifting and mobility assistance
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable transportation for per-diem assignments

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in basic patient care and ADLs
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Comfortable with electronic or paper charting and documentation
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
