Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg and pediatric nursing care to patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on condition management and discharge needs
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Advocate for patient safety and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri or appropriate compact licensure)
• Experience or clinical background in Medical-Surgical nursing and Pediatrics
• Current BLS certification; pediatric certifications (e.g., PALS) a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary teams and following facility protocols

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; must hold RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of Med/Surg nursing principles and pediatric care considerations
• Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health records
• Excellent communication and patient/family education abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
