Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility while preserving dignity
Take and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident care and observations
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care
Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes comfort and independence

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA preferred)
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
Comfortable with basic patient handling and assisting with ADLs
Professional, dependable, and committed to resident-centered care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of infection control and basic safety protocols
Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
Familiarity with patient lifting/transfer techniques and assistive devices
Basic documentation and charting skills (electronic or paper)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to comfort residents
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
