Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
Monitor and record vital signs and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility following facility protocols
Support infection control measures and help maintain a clean, safe environment
Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Connecticut certification preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
Dependable, compassionate, and able to manage physical aspects of the role

Education

High school diploma or GED (required)
CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Basic charting and documentation (paper or electronic systems)
Infection control and safety best practices
Empathy, effective communication, and teamwork
