Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Accounting and Decision Support systems to deliver accurate service line profitability and P&L reporting that leadership can act on.
• Publish and maintain monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and scorecards to support strategic and financial decision making.
• Develop STRATA-based financial feasibility and reimbursement templates, calculating ROI, payback period, NPV, IRR and other metrics for capital project evaluation.
• Oversee and validate cost structure updates and collaborate with leaders to develop performance improvement plans for service lines with unfavorable variances.
• Prepare and compile data and reports for external stakeholders and audits, including S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA, FEMA, single audits, and GME reporting.
• Lead training for managers and directors on productivity and reporting tools, and manage ad hoc reporting requests and audit-related report generation.
• Provide oversight and mentorship to the decision support supervisor and special projects analyst, ensuring high-quality deliverables and team development.
• Support software implementations and ongoing maintenance (including STRATA forecasting module, ERP components, and leasing software) to enhance financial analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting and/or decision support, preferably in healthcare.
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or similar tools is required.
• Proven experience producing service line profitability analysis, P&L reporting, and decision support deliverables.
• Supervisory or mentoring experience preferred to lead the decision support team members.
• Preferred: Master Degree (MBA or MHA) and financial or healthcare certifications.
• Familiarity with hospital contracting, bundled payments, and physician reimbursement preferred.

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required)
• Master Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

• STRATA financial software and STRATA forecasting module experience
• Financial forecasting and decision support methodology
• Experience reporting to rating agencies (S&P, Fitch, DAC, EMMA)
• Healthcare finance, reimbursement, bundled payments, physician reimbursement
• ERP and leasing software implementation oversight
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
