Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography and CT exams including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy, specimen radiography, and breast needle localization
• Operate CT equipment including automatic injector setup and age-appropriate contrast administration
• Apply radiation protection principles and maintain quality control for imaging equipment
• Maintain accurate patient records, image acquisition documentation, and departmental files
• Support interventional procedures and assist with sterile technique and tele-radiology transmissions as needed
• Participate in departmental quality assurance programs and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care across the lifespan and assist with patient transfers
• Rotate across modalities as required and pursue competency in ancillary imaging fields

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) required within 45 days of start
• Clinical competency assessment required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostic exams relevant to assigned modalities
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and travel to other SEARHC sites as needed

Education

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency documentation per SEARHC policy

Knowledge & Skills

• Mammography techniques and ACR/FDA mammography compliance
• CT operation, contrast protocols, and automatic injector use
• Diagnostic radiography and radiation protection
• Quality assurance, quality control, and image acquisition best practices
• Sterile technique, venipuncture fundamentals, and specimen radiography
• Tele-radiology transmission and basic interventional procedure support
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills
