Roles & Responsibilities

Provide leadership and direction to hospital staff on policies, procedures, and clinical priorities to keep patient care running smoothly
Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation across units to optimize bed use and minimize delays
Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical teams, and the Chief Nursing Officer to make administrative decisions and escalate issues appropriately
Monitor staff productivity, offer constructive feedback, and coach team members to maintain high standards of care
Troubleshoot patient/family concerns and ensure timely, compassionate resolution
Organize workflow and delegate duties so staff understand responsibilities and patient safety is preserved
Lead or initiate special projects to improve processes, efficiency, and patient experience

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Montana
Minimum 3 years of RN experience in a hospital setting with recent ICU experience preferred
CPR required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Experience with ventilator support, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, and multiple IV pumps
Prior experience in patient flow, resource nurse or nurse leadership roles
Strong leadership, critical thinking, and people skills; ability to manage a busy workload and handle complex situations

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient flow management and resource allocation
Nurse leadership and clinical supervision
Critical care principles, cardiac monitoring, and postoperative care
Ventilator management and care of patients across the lifespan
Use of basic office equipment and coordination tools
Excellent customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to initiate and develop quality improvement projects
