Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living—bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Provide respectful, compassionate bedside care that preserves dignity
• Support nursing staff with timely documentation and care updates
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team to coordinate care
• Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the nurse in charge

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the state of practice
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass a background check
• Reliable transportation and availability for per-diem shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
• Ability to take and accurately document vital signs
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Basic charting and comfort working with electronic health records
• Compassionate patient interaction and effective teamwork
