Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and document vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation to reduce fall risk
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for each patient
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to promote excellent care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (must meet New Mexico state requirements)
• Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain promptly
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
• Dependable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the care team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with personal care techniques and assisting with ADLs
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Good observational skills to notice and report patient changes
• Teamwork and time management in fast-paced care settings
