Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality radiographic examinations (CT and X-ray) for diagnostic interpretation across the lifespan
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, set and run automatic injectors, and adjust contrast protocols by age group
• Support interventional procedures and assist with sterile technique and procedural preparation
• Maintain accurate radiology records, perform daily/weekly QC, and participate in the department quality assurance program
• Follow radiation protection principles and exercise professional judgment to optimize patient safety
• Transfer patients safely to and from radiology and provide compassionate care for diverse patient populations
• Participate in shift rotations, assume departmental duties in supervisor’s absence, and respond to on-call notifications
• Assist with supply inventory, ordering, and maintaining equipment care for the imaging area
• Collaborate with referring physicians and transmit tele-radiology images as required

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modalities (XR, CT; willingness to cross-train in MRI and Mammography)
• Comfort assisting with interventional procedures and performing venipuncture as the role advances
• Demonstrated knowledge of radiation protection, sterile technique, and tele-radiology transmission
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and respond promptly when needed

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography required
• Additional ARRT modality certifications (CT, MR, Mammography) preferred
