Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic evaluations and design individualized treatment plans to help patients reach their highest level of function
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, splinting, and adaptive equipment training to improve strength, range of motion, and fine motor skills
• Conduct home assessments and recommend environmental or adaptive equipment modifications to support safe community living
• Administer sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation interventions for neurologic and developmental needs
• Lead prevocational and functional activities to prepare patients to return to or enter the workforce
• Maintain timely, accurate patient documentation and comply with departmental and regulatory standards
• Educate patients and families on energy conservation, joint protection, safe transfer techniques, and ongoing home programs
• Collaborate with schools, nursing homes, visiting nurse associations, and hospitals as needed to optimize patient care

Qualifications

• Current WA state Occupational Therapist license required or in process of obtaining
• Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy required
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and regulatory requirements
• Professional appearance, reliable attendance, and timely completion of mandatory education
• Comfortable using email and basic computer systems for documentation and communication

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Occupational therapy evaluations and treatment planning
• Therapeutic exercises, splinting, and adaptive equipment prescription
• Home assessments and environmental modification recommendations
• Sensorimotor integration and visual perceptual-motor remediation techniques
• Neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac, and balance disorder interventions
• Prevocational training and functional activity design
• Strong communication skills and HIPAA-compliant documentation
• Basic computer and email proficiency
