Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced patient monitoring and direct care for critically ill and medical/surgical patients
• Operate and manage advanced equipment including ventilators, multiple IV pumps, arterial and central lines
• Perform timely patient assessments and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision
• Manage chest tubes, invasive lines and other complex bedside care needs
• Coordinate discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions from admission to discharge
• Act as a clinical leader on the unit and assist with precepting and mentoring staff
• Collaborate closely with providers, charge nurse and leadership to deliver high quality patient care
• Delegate and direct the work of RNs, LPNs, CNAs and support staff to ensure safe patient care

Qualifications

• Current Montana RN licensure required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS, EPNC, TNCC preferred
• Recent critical care nursing experience and practice in an advanced medical/surgical or critical care unit
• Proven ability to operate ventilators and manage invasive lines including A-lines and central lines
• Experience using multiple IV pumps and caring for chest tubes
• Strong clinical leadership and precepting experience

Education

• Degree from an accredited nursing program
