Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for patients in your assigned area
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with the care team to develop and update individualized care plans
• Perform hands-on procedures such as IV starts and wound care as needed
• Communicate clearly with patients and families to educate and provide support
• Escalate concerns and coordinate with providers to ensure timely interventions
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and complete shift handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for New Mexico or compact RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Previous clinical experience in acute care or related settings preferred
• Comfort with 12+ hour night shifts and managing a diverse patient population
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Willingness to complete facility orientation and mandatory trainings

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and prioritization skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to manage emergencies and respond calmly under pressure
• Good bedside manner and patient/family education techniques
• Team collaboration and clear clinical communication
