Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive OB/GYN ultrasounds across 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimesters including Amniotic Fluid Index and Fetal Anatomical Surveys
• Conduct general and small-parts diagnostic ultrasounds (abdominal aorta, breast, thyroid, testicular/scrotal, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, etc.) with accuracy and compassion
• Complete neonatal imaging including bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, fetal head and heart assessments
• Operate GE ultrasound equipment skillfully and maintain high image quality
• Document findings accurately and timely in EPIC and communicate results to the care team
• Provide patient-centered care for adolescents through geriatrics, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
• Float between clinics as required and support clinic staffing needs professionally
• Participate in emergency/storm team assignments and respond to catastrophic events as directed

Qualifications

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) / ARDMS required
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification required
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS FE and NT are preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of sonography experience required
• Experience with GE ultrasound equipment and EPIC charting required
• Willingness to float and participate on Storm/Hurricane Team when assigned
• Traveler candidates accepted, including first-time travelers

Education

Knowledge & Skills

• 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester OB scans and fetal anatomical surveys
• Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI) and placenta previa assessment
• Neonatal imaging: bone lengths, cerebellum, ventricles, fetal head and heart
• General ultrasound: abdominal aorta, appendix, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, pediatric abdomen/pelvis, spleen
• Renal/pelvis imaging: bladder, hernia, ovaries, prostate, renal/bladder, uterus, vaginal
• Small parts: breast ultrasound, breast cyst aspiration, superficial masses, testicles/scrotum, thyroid
• Proficiency with GE ultrasound systems and EPIC charting/documentation
• Strong patient communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
