Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic radiographic and sonographic examinations across all patient age groups to support accurate interpretation
• Perform mammography services including screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast needle localization and specimen radiography
• Operate CT/interventional imaging equipment, assist with invasive procedures, and prepare procedure areas and contrast protocols
• Maintain and document patient records and imaging files accurately and securely
• Lead and participate in departmental quality assurance and quality control activities
• Assist with supply inventory and ordering to keep the department running smoothly
• Apply radiation protection principles and professional judgment in all procedures
• Transfer and care for patients safely and compassionately; adapt protocols for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Participate in call rotation, departmental meetings, in-services, and disaster drills
• Pursue and document continuing education (mammography CEUs and other required credits) to maintain competency

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• BLS from American Heart Association (must be obtained within 45 days of start)
• Clinical Competency Assessment (SEARHC) required within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality and maintain competency in ancillary modalities
• Experience or certification in mammography and CT preferred; sterile technique and tele-radiology competence required for CT/interventional support
• Willingness to rotate shifts, take call, and travel between SEARHC sites as needed

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
