Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat inpatient therapy patients with evidence-based physical therapy interventions
• Develop individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable goals and progress notes
• Collaborate closely with nurses, occupational therapy, speech therapy and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Document care accurately and timely in Meditech EMR
• Manage a typical caseload of approximately 9-10 patients per day while supporting the unit’s 75% productivity standard
• Provide safe mobility training and use appropriate mobility equipment to promote patient independence
• Float across floors 1-4 as needed to meet patient and unit demands
• Participate in discharge planning and unit quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Valid Florida PT license (required)
• MPT or DPT from an accredited college or university (required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (posting lists 1 year)
• Acute care experience (required)
• Meditech experience (preferred)
• ICU experience (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, outgoing personality

Education

• MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in PT evaluation and treatment for inpatient populations
• Experience with mobility equipment and inpatient safety protocols
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation and workflow
• Ability to manage caseloads efficiently and meet productivity expectations
• Comfort working across multiple floors and varied patient acuity levels
