Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in Ambulatory and General OR settings
• Prepare and operate electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources with precision
• Champion infection control practices and enforce the Universal Protocol (Time out)
• Handle, label, and maintain specimens accurately to support diagnostic integrity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across orthopedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology and podiatry
• Document patient care in the charting system (Epic preferred) to ensure continuity
• Support patient positioning, catheterization, and wound management during procedures
• Float as needed across rooms and settings to maintain smooth OR operations

Qualifications

• Active CA state license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience (Ambulatory OR and General OR experience preferred)
• BLS certification required; Laser Safety and Radiation Safety preferred
• Comfortable with Epic charting (preferred) and perioperative documentation
• Able to work a 4x10 day schedule and float across OR locations
• First-time travelers welcome — travel experience is not required

• Specimen handling/labeling and wound management
• Urinary bladder catheterization and perioperative patient care
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
