Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and design personalized occupational therapy plans
Implement evidence-based interventions to improve daily living and work skills
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
Document patient progress accurately and communicate outcomes to families and staff
Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers to support carryover
Participate in orientation activities to integrate smoothly with facility protocols and culture

Qualifications

Current OTR/L (Registered Occupational Therapist/ Licensed) in California or ability to obtain state licensure
Active basic life support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Prior clinical experience in pediatric, outpatient, or acute care settings preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-focused mindset
Ability to complete orientation and any facility onboarding requirements

Education

Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OTR/OTD) required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in functional assessment, ADL training, and activity analysis
Knowledge of evidence-based OT interventions and documentation standards
Comfortable working within interdisciplinary care teams
Ability to adapt interventions to varied patient ages and diagnoses
Proficient with clinical charting and outcome measurement tools
