Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients thoroughly under physician orders to identify functional needs and goals
Develop individualized treatment plans that maximize independence and functional potential
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions using a variety of techniques
Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices to improve daily living
Document evaluations, plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with facility standards and regulations
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and support patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Practice in accordance with the California State Practice Act
Ability to evaluate and treat patients under referring physician orders
Strong communication and documentation skills

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and evaluation expertise
Treatment planning and therapeutic intervention skills
Experience with assistive devices and adaptive equipment
Skilled in therapeutic procedures relevant to occupational therapy
Accurate and timely clinical documentation habits
Familiarity with State Practice Act requirements and compliance
