Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to pediatric clinic patients within the scope of LPN licensure.
Take and interpret vital signs and perform triage to determine patient needs and urgency.
Manage medication refills and support medication management for clinic patients.
Complete prior authorization requests accurately and efficiently to support timely care.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers, ensuring clear communication.
Support and direct CNAs and schedulers as needed to maintain smooth clinic operations.
Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including RNs, providers, coordinators, and clinical managers.

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (required)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
Experience with vital signs, triage, medication refills and prior authorizations
Ability to follow direction from providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors and RNs
Comfort providing pediatric patient care and collaborating with a care team

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (Practical Nursing/LPN)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and pediatric patient care
Vital signs measurement and interpretation
Triage and patient call management
Medication management and prescription refill processing
Prior authorization processing and administrative coordination
Basic Life Support (BLS) and adherence to licensure continuing education requirements
Team communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
