Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess residents' nutritional needs and determine appropriate therapeutic diets
• Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments in PointClickCare (PCC)
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff to coordinate diet plans and restrictions
• Inspect meals for adherence to prescribed diets and quality standards
• Provide clear, compassionate nutrition education to residents and families
• Document dietitian contacts and charting accurately and promptly
• Maintain communication with Dietary, Nursing, and Administrative teams to solve problems and improve processes
• Review and evaluate resident menus and food service operations for ongoing quality improvement
• Complete MDS assessments and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and skin care rounds

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food/Nutrition
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
• Licensed dietitian in the State of Massachusetts
• Minimum one year of experience in a long-term care setting
• Working knowledge of state documentation procedures and MDS requirements
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) electronic medical records
• Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
