Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography and CT imaging for patients across the lifespan with professional judgment and patient-centered care
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, set up and run the automatic injector, and adjust contrast protocols by age
• Assist with interventional procedures using sterile technique and provide hands-on support during invasive imaging
• Maintain departmental quality assurance programs and perform daily/weekly QC to ensure excellent imaging standards
• Transmit images competently via teleradiology and consult with referring physicians as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records, adhere to radiation safety principles, and ensure compliance with policies
• Provide compassionate patient handling including transfers and venipuncture, with sensitivity to pediatric and geriatric needs
• Support inventory management and supply ordering to keep the department running smoothly

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency expected within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams relevant to assigned modalities (CT and X-ray)
• Preferred additional certifications: ARRT (CT, MR, MG, NM) or ARDMS categories
• Willingness to rotate shifts, be on-call, and respond quickly when needed
• Comfort working across modalities (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography) and in high-stress situations

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire (and ongoing competency every three years)
• Additional modality certifications (CT, MR, MG, NM, ARDMS) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• CT imaging and diagnostic radiography best practices
• Radiation safety and quality assurance principles
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Teleradiology transmission and image consultation
• Sterile technique and interventional assistance
• Venipuncture and patient transfer skills
• Pediatric and geriatric patient care sensitivity
• Inventory management and basic equipment care
