Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation using CT and X-ray equipment
• Operate and set up automatic contrast injectors and adjust protocols by patient age to ensure high-quality imaging
• Maintain equipment care, perform daily/weekly QC, and participate in departmental quality assurance programs
• Assist with invasive/CT interventional procedures and maintain sterile technique during procedures
• Transmit images via tele-radiology systems and collaborate with referring physicians for optimal patient care
• Transfer and prepare patients safely for imaging, applying age-appropriate care and radiation protection principles
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
• Participate in supply inventory, ordering, and departmental meetings and in-services
• Rotate shifts as required and assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Ability to perform diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT/X-ray)
• Willingness to rotate across modalities and learn additional imaging areas as needed (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography)
• Comfort with on-call duties and reporting quickly when needed
• Strong patient-care skills and ability to work well under stress

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification
• Clinical competency requirement within 3 months of hire; ongoing competency every three years

• Radiographic examination techniques for all body parts
• Radiation protection principles and patient safety
• CT operation, X-ray imaging, and contrast injector operation
• Invasive procedure assistance and sterile technique
