Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures using prescribed techniques and adjusting equipment settings for optimal imaging
• Prepare rooms, position patients, arrange immobilization and support devices, and administer contrast materials as needed
• Maintain radiation protection practices to minimize exposure for patients and staff
• Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance of x-ray/CT equipment and document quality control tasks
• Complete quality control reports specific to procedures performed and assist with diagnostic testing
• Handle general office duties including scheduling, answering phones and filing as necessary
• Respond to and perform call assignments as required to support patient care

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification with a minimum of 6 months of experience in Computerized Tomography
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to and live in a rural community

Education

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training in an AMA-approved training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in Computerized Tomography (CT) and diagnostic radiography
• Strong knowledge of radiation protection principles and patient positioning
• Experience with quality control procedures and basic equipment maintenance
• Comfortable administering contrast material and preparing procedure rooms
• Good communication and telephone/office skills for scheduling and patient coordination
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment and perform on-call duties
