Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and radiographic imaging using prescribed techniques to produce diagnostic images
• Adjust equipment settings (voltage, current, time) and position patients to ensure accurate, safe imaging
• Prepare imaging rooms and materials, including contrast preparation when required
• Perform daily cleaning and routine maintenance of x-ray and CT equipment to maintain a safe environment
• Complete quality control tasks and maintain required QC documentation for imaging procedures
• Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring comfort and safety throughout imaging exams
• Handle general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones and coordinating incoming patients
• Participate in call assignments and support the department during after-hours needs

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiological technologist training from an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification required (minimum of 6 months experience in CT required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area (Alamosa region) and be part of a close-knit community

Education

• Formal radiological technologist training (AMA-approved program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in computed tomography (CT) and general radiography techniques
• Strong knowledge of radiation protection and patient positioning best practices
• Familiar with quality control procedures and diagnostic testing for imaging equipment
• Comfortable preparing and handling contrast material safely
• Able to perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Good communication and scheduling skills for patient and team coordination
