Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist patients with mobility and safe transfers, prioritizing comfort and dignity
Maintain accurate documentation of care activities and patient observations
Support infection control practices and keep patient areas clean and safe
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
Valid state authorization to practice in California (or eligibility to obtain)
Comfort with overnight/night shift responsibilities and working independently
Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Patient hygiene and personal care best practices
Accurate vital signs measurement and documentation
Basic understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
