Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per-diem, days vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing and mobility assistance
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, documentation and basic clinical tasks
Support safe and comfortable environments by following care plans and facility protocols
Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and team members
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge
Contribute to a positive, team-focused atmosphere and help maintain unit cleanliness and safety

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — Pennsylvania certification preferred or ability to obtain
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-focused attitude
Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
Ability to safely transfer and ambulate residents using proper body mechanics
Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
Good observation skills and the ability to report changes accurately
Teamwork, reliability and a positive bedside manner
