Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and hands-on nursing for assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to care
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and discharge plans
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to keep patient flow smooth
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Advocate for patients and contribute to a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in North Carolina or eligible for NC licensure
• Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable with medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Dependable, flexible, and able to step into different clinical settings
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Diploma or certificate from an accredited practical nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation
• Wound care basics and routine nursing assessments
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Clinical judgment with the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and adaptability in a busy clinical environment
