Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
Take and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the care team
Support safe transfers and mobility assistance using proper body mechanics
Observe and record resident conditions and behaviors accurately
Help create a warm, home-like environment and encourage resident independence
Communicate effectively with nurses, family members, and interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification or equivalent
Current CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
Comfortable working with older adults and supporting their dignity
Reliable, punctual, and able to pass background and health screenings
Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and families
Knowledge of basic geriatric care practices and infection control
Ability to perform safe resident transfers and use assistive devices
Competence in measuring and documenting vital signs and ADLs
Team player with good observation and reporting abilities
Empathy, patience, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced care setting
