Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Support safe and comfortable transfers and mobility with attention to body mechanics
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity and respect
• Document care delivered in a timely, clear manner to support the clinical team
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, and family members to coordinate care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain promptly
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Comfortable with resident transfers and basic lifting; safe patient handling training preferred
• Strong communication skills and a caring attitude; team players encouraged to apply
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

• Current CNA certification (required)
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic nursing care and resident assistance
• Knowledge of infection prevention and hand hygiene practices
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe/report clinical changes
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
