Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Deliver hands-on, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and work skills
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members — PTs, SLPs, nursing and physicians — to coordinate care
• Document treatment plans and progress notes accurately and timely in the clinic’s system
• Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive techniques to enhance independence
• Participate in the onboarding process and support continuity of care during the contract

Qualifications

• Current or eligible Minnesota Occupational Therapy license (ability to obtain required prior to start)
• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT or OTD preferred)
• NBCOT certification preferred or in progress
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Clinical experience in outpatient or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Ability to complete four-week onboarding and work onsite Monday–Friday

Education

• Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) preferred
• Graduation from an accredited OT program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional assessments, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions
• Strong documentation skills and experience with clinical recordkeeping
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Comfortable working in a community clinic setting and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Adaptability, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to care
